Spring break and underage drinking go hand-in-hand

This time of year throughout the nation kids attending high school and college have a week off. Over spring break it is not uncommon for the young people—many of them underage—to travel to warmer weather destinations to party. Some of these individuals could end up in Virginia Beach.

New child support law in Virginia takes effect in July

Effective July 1, 2014, the child support statute in Virginia, Virginia Code Section 20-108.2, has changed significantly. This change marks the first alteration to Virginia Child Support Guidelines since 1995. The changes considerably impact both the custodial and non-custodial parents. There are two major changes provided by the statute:

Everyone knows that driving after consuming too much alcohol can be dangerous to not only the driver but others on the road as well. Despite this, there are times that individuals get behind the wheel to drive without realizing that they are past the legal limit. If they are pulled over by law enforcement, it is likely that the amount of alcohol in their blood will be tested. Under the law, driving with a BAC of .08 or higher is against the law.
