4 Virginia Beach-area adults face serious drug charges

Friday, June 21, proved to be a busy day for authorities in the Chesapeake and Virginia Beach areas. Police confirm the arrests of four people on drug charges involving suspected methamphetamine, synthetic narcotics, heroin and cocaine. The arrests took place at two different sites. Police say despite the proximity of the actions, they are not believed to be related.

These are serious allegations. Anyone facing these kinds of charges should make it a top priority to enlist the help of an experienced criminal defense attorney. Being able to present your perspective of events in the best possible light will be critical to obtaining the best possible outcome.

The arrest in Virginia Beach occurred at around 3:30 in the morning on June 21. Police say they were called to a property in the 1300 block of Old Clubhouse Road in response to a suspicious situation. What the situation might have been wasn't clear from reports.

Apparently in the course of investigating officers say they came across a shed on the property and inside they claim to have found materials that appeared to be of a type used for making methamphetamine. A 34-year-old male was taken into custody on suspicion of meth manufacturing. At last word he was still being held without bond.

The second action in Chesapeake occurred about mid-morning near Schaefer Avenue. Acting under a search warrant, officers said they came across chemicals and equipment believed to be associated with a meth lab.

Two women and a man were taken into custody. One 29-year-old female at the address is said to be held on suspicion of two counts of meth manufacture and possession of synthetic narcotics and other unspecified dangerous drugs. A 50-year-old woman reportedly was charged with heroin and cocaine possession. The male suspect, 52, faces charges of heroin and drug paraphernalia possession.
